Best Abstract Prize Competition Euroanaesthesia 2018

Dr. Johannes Schmidt, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medical Center, University of Freiburg, Germany, has won the Best Abstract Prize Competition during Euroanaesthesia, with ‘Expiratory Ventilation Assistance during mandatory ventilation in porcine ARDS improves arterial oxygenation – a randomized controlled animal study’. We are very proud, as there were over 1.400 entries. The standard of entries was very high, with a mixture of prospective and observation clinical studies. A highly respected judge panel, led by Chair Prof. Marc Samama, Cochin University Hospital, Paris, France, decided that Dr. Johannes Schmidt is the winner of 2018.
