Dr Gerling and colleagues saved a patient’s life using Cricath and Ventrain. Deteriorating respiratory distress, increasing hypoxia, and decreasing level of consciousness of a transported patient forced a ground ambulance to stop at the emergency department of the Meander Medical Center Amersfoort.
