Consistency and safety in airway emergencies – A comparative study of six cannula insufflation devices on test lung models of adult, pediatric and infant models found Ventrain to be the sole device that insufflated oxygen with acceptable pressures and volumes with variable degrees of airway obstruction (complete, partial, open). Other devices were found to be either unsuccessful, or generating variable and excessive values.
